We are getting so near to that 250 mark and I honestly think we could hit it by tonight if everyone just sent this to a few people they know because honestly HASD needs to see these numbers piling up fast if they have any hope of listening to us right now (and don't get me started on the way they ignore us lately). Just blast this out everywhere you can and let's keep the momentum moving before they think we have gone quiet.

Maybe some of the administrators should be eliminated or take a big pay CUT rather than the kids giving up precious education time. The weird part is no one mentioned this budget deficit until we were millions of dollars in the hole. Tax families rather than the elderly homeowners.

Parents pay school taxes and now, because of salaries and inappropriate spending you want us to have to pay for daycare, or worse leave our children unattended and at risk. You need to take into consideration how this affects PARENTS as well as the children.

This will definitely NOT save any money!! You still have to run buses for the other schools!! And speaking of buses...take a look at that issue!! Including the special needs bus company!! I'm sure we're getting ripped off there!!!

I know the teachers want to do their job and teach. My child needs all the education he deserves at this time in his life. He needs it to help him do well enough to get into a good college so he doesn't have to work 70hrs a week for pennies. Besides, this is not a good way to prepare these kids for the real world of working 5-6 days a week.

Students are losing time to learn. Athletes are losing valuable time to practice. It's not practical or ethical. Not to mention in the middle or the school year will mess with people's schedules, and with it being during winter months, even more time is being lost.

I have a kindergartener starting in the fall. I am really disappointed that he will be starting out slighted in his education. What will he really learn in 15 & 12 hour school weeks? Please overturn the 1/2 day kindergarten ruling.

S.T.E.M. isn't the reason for their decisions. The "little" amount of students you are referring to worked hard to be accepted into the Academy. It's not "pass a multiple choice test and you're in" thing. There are students that are in college classes which the parents have to pay for, not the school district. Students take the PSSA's so that the school knows what kind of curriculum and to what level of comprehension each student has reached. Why should the students with higher scores have to sit in classes that have they have already exceeded in and vice versa -- you wouldn't want a student that doesn't understand a certain area and level of study to sit in a class and be expected to understand AND pass their classes.
