To the Board:

It has come as a surprise to many members that the green on the Heritage 18th Hole is to be moved closer to the tee. We believe the original hole configuration should be maintained. The original hole configuration makes the hole one of the best finishing holes. We request a Board meeting to resolve this issue.

I honestly cannot believe how many of you stepped up to back this because I really thought I was the only one losing sleep over the eighteenth hole layout. It is wild to see this much energy forming so fast and I am just sitting here staring at my screen thinking about the history we might actually get to save.

I don’t think the decision on 18 should be related to what is/isn’t happening to 17. The old design of 18 was great. Unlike 17, it allowed the player to choose between making the forced carry or playing around the water. It had a nice risk/reward ratio. Shorter hitters likely were getting a stroke, so they could afford to layup.

18 is a great finishing hole. I’m OK with changes to the rest of the hole as long as the green remains in the same place. It would be a shame to lose the approach shot that currently exists.

This is a major change without member input. The 18th hole is one of the best holes in Ibis. It is a risk/reward hole that is also beautiful and challenging. Do not change it .

Keep the 18th green on heritage as is, it’s a beautiful finishing hole. In his message from the president, Wayne Crowder refers to the Nicolas design division, and “a small group of exceptionally talented golfers“, implying that these groups were influential in these decisions. However, in the bullet points, it is clear that he alone made the bad decision to move the green on this hole, noting that “I think it is a bad way to end the whole“, “where I have proposed“, “the design I propose will make the whole much more fair“. What happened to “nothing will happen without membership approval“, particularly for something that will have long-term effects?

The architect's concerns about 2 holes over water are UNFOUNDED. Heritage 18 has ALWAYS had a bail out area to the left and with the removal of the landscaping and bunker that bail area could be larger. LEAVE 18 GREEN AS IT WAS - IT WAS TERRIFIC FINISHING HOLE.

The original change to 18 was that there would be a landing area created over the water, then the green. When did that change and why wasn't the most recent change broadcasted out to members before shovels were in the ground?

I do not agree with moving the Heritage 18 green forward
