Petition to Maintain Female-Only Spaces at University
We urge the university to maintain female-only areas to support students who wear niqabs and hijabs, as these women need dedicated spaces to adhere to their religious practices comfortably. By keeping these areas exclusive to women, the university ensures a respectful and inclusive environment for all female students.
im still reading through all your messages and its clear how much this space means to everyone. i have been talking with a few groups on campus to see how we can keep the pressure up and i will let you know what happens next.

This is an Islamic country. With Islamic values. Why on earth is the female section being taken down. I would like it to stay. I need to fix my hijab, or sometimes take it off so I can study. If they do take it down then I want to leave the uni

This is actually totally unacceptable! Men entering female-only supposed-to-be-restricted is becoming unbearably common and it's really affecting us students' comfort, and this will affect our academic performance as well. It needs to be dealt with immediately!

the areas literally have the word " female" in their names, why not follow it and give a break to girls who frantically cover themselves when males show up unannounced..

I feel soooo uncomfortable studying at library as a niqabi, I always face the wall so I can have some privacy and not worrying about a male looking or entering.

Please keep the female floors for females only... us niqabis and hijabis need a place to be able to take them off freely becuase you force us to come to uni from 8am until 7pm and we seriously can't handle staying in our niqabs and hijab for this long. We need a place to breath in without the males....

They can have their meetings/ PBLS / classes in either the male library or other classrooms in the university and utilize the ones in the female library for lectures that female professors teach to female students.
You never know when a man will be entering without a warning (mostly the only warning is them being too loud so if they are not restricted from entering female spaces, they should be informed that it will be appreciated if they scream before entering )
