We are petitioning for women only hours at the Antioch College Wellness Center for the following reasons:
In alignment with the Antioch College Mission Statement, which states “that diversity in all its manifestations is a fundamental component of excellence in education,” this proposal seeks to provide a time period of women-only access to the Wellness Center.
A women only period would strive to maintain diversity on the Antioch College campus by providing equal access to the women of this campus and surrounding community who, for religious, cultural, and social purposes, need a women only environment when using the Wellness Center.
A women only period at the Antioch Wellness Center would serve to promote and maintain a sustainable college and healthier lifestyle for all of the female residents of the college as well as the surrounding community of Yellow Springs, regardless of religious and cultural background.
In response to these concerns, we demand that the Wellness Center implement two three-hour time periods per week of women only access.
The details of this petition can be adjusted in timing and logistics. However, we are not willing to compromise on the implementation of a weekly time slot(s) during which only women may use the Antioch Wellness Center.
The wording of this document may be adjusted to include more specific data in support of the demand for a women only time at the Antioch Wellness Center.

FINALLY. some of us have religious reasons for this and it really isnt too much to ask for just a few hours a week.

it would be so nice to actually feel comfortable working out without being stared at or feeling like i have to cover up constantly. please make this happen
