Help us preserve this historic hamlet and ReStoreRockvale.

This historic village, circa 1877, formed when a toll road (Rockvale Road) was created to junction at Versailles Road, connecting Murfreesbor, Tennessee to Eagleville, Tennessee. Eagleville petitioned to become part of Rutherford County because of this road.

The Rockvale Store, built in 1884, is believed to be the oldest country store building in Rutherford County remaining, and has been listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, since 1995. The store, having survived 133 years, is considered signifigant for multiple time periods: 1875-1899 Reconstruction; 1900-1924 World War I; 1925-1949 World War II.

Please join our efforts to ReStore Rockvale and sign our online petition to ensure Old Rockvale is not destroyed!

The view driving for a mile or so down Versailles Road WILL NOT be the Old Rockvale Store anymore, but as proposed, it would be replaced with a 24 ft industrial gate looking into a "trash collection" site.

There is only one Historic Site for the Rockvale Store.

There are several available options for a "trash collection" site.
