Green Oak Realty Development LLC, owner Keith Babb, is seeking an excavation permit for a 44-acre parcel of land on Kings Highway in New Durham (tax map key 206, lots 010 and 011), just over the Wolfeboro town line. Per the proposal, bedrock will be blasted and crushed into screen stone stockpiles, such as pea stone, rip rap, septic stone and driveway or road gravel. Additionally, sand and gravel will be trucked in from Ossipee and b made available for commercial sale to the public. The hours of operation are listed as 7am-6pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to noon on Saturday. The applicant previously stated to the planning board, traffic could be 70 trucks per day.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge the Town of New Durham Planning Board to refuse this Land Use Application based on a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to: environmental impact, traffic and safety, noise pollution, air quality, declining property values, the impact on water aquifers and private homeowner wells, potential home foundation damage and applicant history with other similar projects
