Rancho Sierra Golf Course is a small public nine hole golf course and driving range located in Lancaster, CA in the Antelope Valley. Rancho Sierra is the only golf course in Lancaster, and only one of two nine hole courses in all of the Antelope Valley. Opened in 1963, it has served the local communities for sixty years. We primarily serve golfers who are seniors, juniors, ladies, as well as beginners. We also have a robust teaching program that has benefited golfers of all ages and abilities in the area. We support local high school golf programs including Eastside, Antelope Valley, Pete Knight, and Lancaster Baptist among others by hosting practices and matches for both boys and girls teams.
The owner of this course, Rancho Sierra Properties, LLC, has been embroiled in the Antelope Valley Groundwater Adjudication case. Rancho Sierra Golf Course cannot continue operations under currently proposed payments to the Antelope Valley Watermaster. We ask that the Antelope Valley Watermaster Board, which administers adjudicated water rights, continue to negotiate with Rancho Sierra Properties such that Rancho Sierra Golf Course can continue to operate. Given our customer base, we cannot pass large water costs on to
our golfer community, especially since many are on fixed incomes.
If you would like to see Rancho Sierra Golf Course continue to operate, please demonstrate your support by signing this petition, which will be presented to the Antelope Valley Watermaster Board the week of January 22nd, 2023.
P.S. We are not asking for any donations, just for petition signatures! Any donations will go to the petition hosting site, ipetitions.com. Thanks!

The Watermaster board is finally reviewing our records because of the pressure you put on them. Please call your local representative today to demand they prioritize keeping our greens open. We cannot let them ignore our community any longer.

Please save this beautiful oasis in the desert. It was built by my parents back in the early 1960s. It continues to be a valuable and beautiful asset to our community. Please don't let this little slice of Antelope Valley history fade away. It has so many benefits to our community.
My wife and her sister learned to play here! Our community needs this course! Give them a break! We say we don't have water and yet there is no moratorium on building! make the tight decision here and save Rancho Sierra Golf!!!
Recreational facilities like this are needed in the Antelope Valley. The Country Club and Rancho Vista are great but the cost for this is too prohibitive for many. This golf course benefits many and serves a great purpose. All options to prevent its closure should be looked at closely.
Rancho Sierra Golf Course caters to people in the Antelope Valley who can't afford the more expensive golf course such as the AV Country Club and Rancho Vista. As such, their fees are lower, and raising water rates puts the business in jeopardy of being financially insolvent.
Rancho Sierra has been a huge supporter of Boys and Girls Golf in the Golden League as well as other schools in the valley. Please find a way to an agreement to let this gem in the desert continue to provide joy to all they serve.
I'd consider moving near the course if it reopens.
Just a suggestion, make it light up at night during the hot season and put in artificial tees to save water?

My dad used to take me here before he died from cancer and I took my son here for lessons and to play together. The instructors at this course helped him finish as the best player on highland high's team last year.
