Started by Seven Sitter Owners 1 year, 6 months ago
Due to the high rate of unemployment in Eswatini and the demand from parents for children's transportation to and from school premies. Seven sitters owners and parents request that Government allow the vehicles to transport children around the country. We acknowledge that currently working as a school bus using a seven sitter is unlawful and punishment by law because such vehicles are not granted permission through the relevant authorities. Due to the high demand of requirements from parents for assistance to transport kids as they are either at work or without cars, we plead with the government to allow both parties to assist each other in beneficial efforts. Seven sitters owners acknowledge that being granted permission for work on the government roads means that we will have to pay taxes for their services provided. This taxes payment by seven sitter owners will be a peace of mind between both parents and seven sitters owners who will be working under full responsibility and authorisation. Seven sitters owners plead that the Government treat this as an emergency matter to avoid unauthorised working services which may cause accidents on the traffic roads as we try to avoid roads that have traffic officers.

The volume of support indicates that both parents and operators are ready for a formal, regulated framework. I am finalizing a proposal to present to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to initiate a shift in policy.

There really is serious need for school transport. We are struggling getting kids to school while at the same time rushing to work.

Due to the scarcity of job creation in our country, we plead to continue transporting kids to and from school. This help us to pay for our kids school fees and bring food on the table. Also, the standard of living here is very costly as we also need to pay electricity, water, etc.

I support this petition because bomalume and aunties are not stealing from anyone and they are reliable to our kids. But they should have a limit of kids to transport

BoMalume or Bo Anti should be allowed to transport children.. it is far better than having kids take the bus.. and it also ensures their safety since babatsatsa from gate to gate there is absolutely no risk yekulahleka e bus rank or elsewhere

Allowing 7 seater vehicles to be used as scholar transport is a win for both parties: government will expand their tax base while transport owners will be able to put bread on the table.

Due to high unemployment rate in this country we decided to use our own cars to transport children to school but government and police officers are targeting us and hunting us like animals...please help us solve this problem by allowing us to transport the children with permit
