Request for Penny for Pinellas Funding: East Lake Community Library Final Expansion Phase
We, the undersigned, request that the East Lake Community Library be given priority status for funding from the upcoming 2020 Penny for Pinellas Initiative.
$5.1 million dollars is needed for an 11,000 square foot expansion in order to reach the minimal standards set for Florida public libraries. This is much more than just a library building - it is the cultural center and community center for the East Lake corridor and servers over 90,000 patrons each year.
The Vote for Penny for Pinellas is coming November 2017. Please support YOUR community library by signing this petition.

Our community is growing so fast, the current building just cant keep up anymore. Its time to put the money where it belongs.

The library is way too crowded these days. My kids can barely find a place to sit and do homework after school. We really need this expansion to happen.
