Currently, Nature Hill Intermediate School (NHI) and Silver Lake Intermediate School (SLI) alternate years in which their students may perform their annual musical theater production at the Oconomowoc Arts Center (OAC). We request that both NHI and SLI be allowed and encouraged to perform at the OAC every year.

The momentum behind this request proves how much our community values these student productions. Now is the time to turn this energy into action by emailing the school board members to demand both musicals be scheduled at the OAC every year.

My granddaughter was in Shrek, the production was incredible, however seeing it at the OAC would have greatly improved the sound and lighting, plus it was hard to see sitting several rows back, what a shame, because this play was spectacular! Please make this a reality for these kids and families who work so hard!

The OAC experience surpasses the cafeteria production in so many ways. Starting with interest in trying out to the excitement of performances for not only the cast, but the audience as well. Working in such an amazing facility gives students a much more realistic feel for theater.

We actually tried to do this from the beginning but at that time the superintendent was not comfortable with it for some reason. Ironic as the stage now bears her name. The directors were willing to change the schedule around and everything so hopefully we can now finally make it happen.

There is an unbelievable amount of time and effort in these plays. It's very disappointing to invite friends and family to these amazing plays and not be able to see unless your the first 20 in the front row. This really seems like a no brainer with the quality of the productions.

I never understood why we built such a beautiful facility with tax payers money and the intermediate schools get to use it every other year for their musicals. Not right. These kids put so much work into this, they should have the proper stage to perform on. Especially because we have the facilities to do it in.

I am a parent of a NHI student who is active in theatre. Performing at the OAC is an experience that she will never forget. It truly shows the children what it takes to put on a real production.

The students that perform spend endless amount of hours preparing for the "big day" and deserve the best venue. The talent of these young people is so great. Applaud them with the best place to perform.

I would have loved to have seen Silver Lake school at the OAC this year since my son is moving on to a Freshman this year. A lot more tickets could have been sold and the money could have been given back to the arts/drama programs. This is the same thing with the football field. I feel that the 8th grade boys should have had that experience. A lot of them were looking forward to play their last year at the high school. I don't know if this is a political thing or not but other school districts utilize everything to benefit the kids.
