We request report cards for elementary students in the Waterloo Region District School Board for the end of the school year (June 2015). Administrators in many boards across Ontario are providing abbreviated report cards, and we request that WRDSB provide this essential information.
I have been hearing from so many of you who are just as frustrated as I am about this total lack of communication regarding our children. Seeing these signatures grow gives me the strength to keep pushing the board for the clarity we deserve.

My own children are waiting to see their progress and I know many of you are in the same position. We are nearly at one hundred signatures so please post this link to your social media to get us over the line.

I think it's ridiculous that the non union admin of Waterloo school board has failed to find a way to complete the minimal Data entry needed to make the report cards available to the students. Teachers have completed the cards... Find away to enter the data and distribute!

How will we know if they have improved. My daughter does not bring home every mark for every assignment. Teachers only contact you throughout the year if there is something wrong. A full page ad in the Toronto Star says to call your principal to get the grades, and we can't even do that.

Which story does the board want to read and hear in the news: that their board was stubborn and refused to acquiesce following parental outcry, or that they provided the information that the students earned and deserve to receive in a timely fashion.

Though I do not have a child in an elementary WRDSB school, this is the board my tax dollars support. Children need their marks so that parents can know what areas they need to work on through the summer. This is unacceptable, WRDSB. Unacceptable.

We pay for our sons to be tutored. How can they get help over the summer if they don't know where they need improvements. Please don't make the kids suffer for all the hard work or lack of work done. Let the parents deal with their grades so the teachers don't have to.

My son is very upset. He tried so hard this year, and was looking forward to seeing the results of his efforts. If the teachers submitted the marks, which they did regardless of the format, then the school has the responsibility to share those marks with the students and their families.

Please put my tax dollars to work and give my child the positive feedback needed for healthy development by issuing a well though out report card

Report cards are a student's right. A report card is a child's equivalent to an adult's paycheque.
