Take a read at this. CALIFORNIA just passed a bill on Thursday, increasing the age to smoke tobacco from 18 to 21!

I think it is a great opportunity to teach the next generation that we have to preserve our rights by voting, especially those who are 18, 19 and 20 who may not realize that we can change this law in California, and when enough United States agree we can get the Senate to repeal this decision.

Please sign this petition to protect the next generation's right to smoke and help inform them that laws can be changed by citizens when we work together.

You are legally an adult at 18 years of age. It is against the law and most of our morals to discriminate based on any characteristics, gender, sexual orientation, race, age is no exception. If at 18 you are an adult who can be drafted, take out loans, and be responsible for paying taxs you have the right to decide to smoke tobacco, and the state or govt. has no right to interfer, even if it is for "your own good".

the new tobacco 21 law will decrease profits for small businesses. Also many current tobacco users who are 18,19 and 20; like myself; will have to quit cold turkey. In some cases it's a stress relief.

The more you restrict, the more they will attempt to do it. 18 year olds are not "children" any more, but if they act like one, well they're going to have to learn the hard way. Growth and maturity to form best when mistakes are made. Don't ban decision-making on matters like these when they can decide as adults on others.

It should always remain legal, for those 18-20 to buy tobacco products. IMO the drinking age also never should've been raised upward to 21, but that's another debate for another time. Bottom line is when someone reaches the age of consent for adult decisions at 18, I think they're more than capable of making one over tobacco & vaping.
