Second hand smoke is not as dangerous as everyone thinks. Research shows that a non-smoker that breathes in second hand smoke will not get cancer unlike a smoker. Let us repeal the smoke ban so businesses don't get shut down and people can actually do something other than sit at home.

Local business owners have been reaching out to share their struggles. The revenue loss is real and it is hurting our community.

I'm a non smoker and don't believe believe in taking people's rights alway over a few peoples opinions.
I don't smoke anymore but people have a choice of whether they want to go into a business that allows smoking. there are other, more important things they should worry about other than where people smoke.
make designated smoking areas. don't take our rights away
smoke bans in small communities should not exist, we live away from the city for a reason leave our personal rights alone.
People are allowed to curse and drink alcohol within city limits of Clinton Mo. ANd I dont see anyone passing bans against these things. An all of them in one way or another efect ether our mental health an in some cases then effects our physical health. or with alcohol consumption it can directly effect our physical healrh. So if u r going to play god an start striping us of our god given rights, why stop with a smoking ban. But before u do stop an think , about this one. Who made you god, or the right ro play god with my rights.

i agree with all involved in this petition.. what happened to our rights?? and if second hand smoke is the only reason behind this stupid smoke ban...what about automobile exhaust....or flatulance.. human and from livestock?? what about the all the chemicals, steriods and pesticides.... we breath, xons

In a free society it is up to the business owner to decide if smoking will be allowed on their premises. Those who dislike smoking are free to boycott the establishment. When government dictates even the smallest aspects of our lives, we are living under tyranny. This bas needs to be repealled since it is an attack on individual liberty. Incidentally, I don't smoke.
