I am starting this petition in hopes that we can get enough signatures to show the Michigan Governor that she has gone too far with the smoke ban. She has taken away a business owners rights, it should be their choice as its success or failure is burdened on the owner! Please sign if you agree that a choice should be given to Michigan bar owners if they prefer to be smoking or non.
The consistent growth of this petition indicates that many people value the autonomy of local business owners. This momentum demonstrates a clear desire to return the decision regarding smoking policies to the proprietors themselves.

I miss the old days when I could have a drink and a smoke at my local tavern. Keep the government out of my business!

Freedom of choice. If an owner wants a smoking bar let them have it.

Its their property. Why should the state tell a business owner how to run their place? Let the customers decide if they want to go in or not.
