In a free society it is up to the business owner to decide if smoking will be allowed on their premises. Those who dislike smoking are free to boycott the establishment. When government dictates even the smallest aspects of our lives, we are living under tyranny. This bas needs to be repealled since it is an attack on individual liberty. Incidentally, I don't smoke.

People are allowed to curse and drink alcohol within city limits of Clinton Mo. ANd I dont see anyone passing bans against these things. An all of them in one way or another efect ether our mental health an in some cases then effects our physical health. or with alcohol consumption it can directly effect our physical healrh. So if u r going to play god an start striping us of our god given rights, why stop with a smoking ban. But before u do stop an think , about this one. Who made you god, or the right ro play god with my rights.

I don't smoke anymore but people have a choice of whether they want to go into a business that allows smoking. there are other, more important things they should worry about other than where people smoke.

i agree with all involved in this petition.. what happened to our rights?? and if second hand smoke is the only reason behind this stupid smoke ban...what about automobile exhaust....or flatulance.. human and from livestock?? what about the all the chemicals, steriods and pesticides.... we breath, xons

it is supposed to be a 50 feet from public buildings but there are public buildings EVERYWHERE. This is supposed to be a free country. The men and women who fight for our freedom are not fighting for nothing. We should be able to smoke where we want and businesses should have say so in if they want smoking there or not. For those people out there who go on and on about 2nd hand smoke. Boo Hoo, there are more chemicals in the air right now and the smoke is just a small portion of it.

this country is slowly but surely taking away our rights first they told us we had to buy car insurance then health insurance and now when and where we can and can't do something. if the owners of establishments are okay with smoking or the land owners the government, local or federal, shouldn't be trying to take away our rights to live.
