As Beverly Road neighbors, we want to register our complaint and concern about the deplorable and unsafe condition of Beverly Road. It's like a war zone of potholes. Some of the potholes have been patched, but sadly, not all. Additionally, as a result of the recent road traffic calming bumpouts, it is even more difficult to avoid the potholes. Numerous vehicles have been damaged by the many pot holes, broken curbs and metal plates. Atlantas efforts to repair the holes are less than effective as new areas appear daily. During heavy rains, the broken curbs and drains can not handle the water instead causing large pools of water on the road further increasing the danger of this road.

In reality the whole street should be repaved, not just patched.

When we see 17st Street, Inman Circle, Polo Drive and now Montgomery Ferry being repaved, we wonder why not Beverly as it receives the bulk of the traffic. Often, cars are backed up in the morning on Beverly attempting to turn on to Peachtree Street and in the afternoon, the same line appears on Beverly Road waiting to turn on to Montgomery Ferry Road.

Our goal is to alert ATLANTA officials of the deplorable and unsafe condition of this widely used road.

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the district public works representative. We are currently finalizing a detailed report on vehicle damage to present alongside our demand for complete repaving.

I'm a Beverly Road resident. Our road and curb conditions are in crisis and should be handled at the same time, and with at least the same priority, as the repaving project currently underway in the rest of the Ansley Park neighborhood. Beverly bears a disproportionately large burden of neighborhood through-traffic and this has caused accelerated damage to our road surface and curb structures. All of this requires immediate attention as part of the overall treament of neighborhood road conditions.

We've been here for 22 years and this street is definitely getting worse and worse! The patch work attempts that are being done are just a bandaid. And like many said before this, with bump outs, it is becoming nearly impossible to miss one of the many potholes on this very busy street.

It appears that water is infiltrating the road bed causing under-pavement erosion as evidenced by large areas of depression. This damage will be more costly to repair the longer it is allowed to continue.

If the city is going to label a street a collector street, it's the city's responsibility to take care of it. Beverly Road is badly in need of repaving, but it's all the neighboring streets that are being repaved. Don't leave our street out! Please smooth out all the sunken areas and potholes, which are a danger to the driving public and cyclists alike.

Increased truck traffic has brought Beverly Road many potholes. The patches last a couple of months at best. It is time to repave this busy city street.
