Peninsula School District (PSD) Families for Reopening Schools needs your help to reopen schools for in person learning and keep schools open in order to preserve and better the education and well being of our children.

PSD Families to Reopen Schools is a group started by parent’s of students in the Peninsula School District. We decided enough was enough! The stifling control of our state and local governments is now an assault on our kids. We have decided to make it our mission to reopen schools for in person learning on September 8, 2020.

  • If you are a tax paying citizen within the PSD we urge you to let your voice be heard!
  • If you are a parent, family member, loved one, and/or caregiver for a student in the PSD we urge you to let your voice be heard!
  • If you are an educator in the PSD we urge you to let your voice be heard!

Thank you for partnering with us to get our children back in school for in-person learning. You are making a direct impact on a child’s life by telling not only them and their families, but also the school board, that you care for each and every student in our community! That you demand for the school board to hear our demands and reopen schools for in person learning on September 8, 2020.

My grandkids have lost so much education that my grandson will need to repeat the 6th grade in order to catch up. Both have suffered from the isolation. . . . the constant use of their cell phones and social media is pickling their young brains!

Please reopen school in September! Im a single mom and cannot make it without working more hours plus taking care of my 13 year old daughter and her school work. She DOESN'T learn online!!! Her mental health also depends on being in the classroom. Please reopen school!!!! Kacey

Our kids need to be back in school in person. Online school in the spring was not sufficient for learning. Some things like science labs, music, art, social skills, sports can’t be taught online. Our kids are missing out on essential learning for all of our futures, and they are, unfairly, having to bear the burden of this disease.

Without in person learning, my kids are going to fall behind, or we will go into unreal amounts of debt. We can't sustain this and honestly, I'm afraid.

Keeping schools closed isn't protecting children, it's putting them more at risk (of depression, abuse, neglect, suicide, etc). I'm a parent and a teacher and I want to teach in person, with no unnecessary sanitizing, distancing, or masks! I want my child in normal, familiar, comforting school. Our students don't need any further trauma.

These kids need and deserve to be in school. Remote/Homeschooling will not work for my granddaughter and a lot of other children. Set up clear dividers on the desks if you feel they are needed but get these kids back in school.. Since the beginning of this virus daycares have been open and children have been interacting and doing just fine!!

Our School Board must stand up for the children of this district and fulfill their elected obligation to the taxpayers and voters by immediately moving to reopen our schools. Your tax dollars are being squandered and our children left behind and needlessly harmed. This board needs to lead and reject the unscientific and lawless lockdown of our economy and schools perpetrated by misinformed bureaucrats politically motivated officials.

Schools are open in Europe, as numerous studies have shwon that children are NOT spreaders. There is a 1 /1,000,000 chance that a child who get covid-19 will die!
