“On behalf of the undersigned Faculty of Marist College and in recognition of nearly four decades of service, we hereby request that the honorable Board of Trustees of Marist College name the Student Center, ‘The Murray Center.’
During his tenure at Marist College, President Dennis J. Murray and Marilyn Murray have devoted themselves to the advancement of Marist College and to generations of Marist students. President Murray’s contributions to the Marist community extend beyond the College’s current students, alumni, and those he has mentored. His gifts of service will influence students for years to come.
Bestowing the name, ‘The Murray Center,’ on the current Student Center befits the outstanding accomplishments of Dr. Dennis J. Murray to Marist College.”

I have spent the last few days reviewing the many stories of mentorship and dedication left here by those who worked alongside the Murrays. This project remains about honoring that legacy of service that defined our campus for so long.

Seeing this level of support for President and Mrs. Murray reminds me just how much their decades of dedication meant to our campus community. I am moved by the enthusiasm people feel for honoring their legacy at the heart of our college.

Congrastulations Dennis on a job really well done! You have put Marist on a sound financial footing and at the same time enhanced its reputation for academics and community service. Naming the Student Center in your honor is very fitting as you have built the current Student Center on the foundation of your predecessors and modernized and improved it.
President Murray is such a great leader. The College today is a reflection of his hard work and dedication.
This is a good way to engrave President Murray's signature on this institution.
Dennis, There are know words that can thank you enough for all you have done. Re-naming the Student Center as,"The Murray Center", needs to be done. THANK YOU
President Murray certainly deserves to be recognized with this re-naming of the Student Center.
