I’ll never forget the memories coach and for giving me a chance to display my talents on the varsity baseball team as an 8th grader when the Jv season ended. Then making me a starter in the 9th grade, in a time, where it was frowned upon... that’s how much you believed in me and that in itself meant the world to me as a growing young man. You, sir, are the real mvp. Forever your #HeftyLefty
Coach Ricky Coker was the heart of baseball at M.H.S. He loved the students and baseball. He was a friend to everyone. He was my coworker at the supermarket and the high school. We kept in touch. R.I.P., my buddy and friend.
What a great coach! A player told me that Rick could help you find talents you did not know you had.
Coach Coker was an inspiration not only to me but to every one of his students, he showed a passion and desire in what he did and deserves to be recognized and remembered.
He was one of the best teachers and the very best coach I have ever had...he inspired me to become a coach myself and I’ve been coaching since high school 22years and counting
Absolutely must be done!!
He was an Amazing teacher, coach, and friend who deserves this prestigious honor.
