I have had the great fortune to meeting this magnanimous man who helped us in gathering funds for a friend who needed surgery while we were at the university studying. May Allah Grant him the highest place in Jannat. Ameen!
I think after Quaid e Azam and Allama Iqbal, Abdul Sattar Edhi deserves national level recognition as a hero who will forever live in our hearts due his services for mankind. Being new federal airport, Fateh Jang airport must be named as Edhi Intl Airport.
Edhi sb is the biggest Human icon of Pakistan, almost as big as Qaid e Azam. He wold never have asked for this recognition but it's our duty to engrave the names of such icons in the history books who have done so much for the country in general and Humanity in particular.
There is not a single individual in history of Pakistan who has done such humanity services without expecting any thing in reward irrespective of race, religion cast gender. The naming of Airport is to remember him and remind us what humanity should be like.
Naming Islamabad airport after Benazir was uncalled for as she was a tainted and divisive politician. Edhi was a darling of all Pakistanis and naming Islamabad after his name would be a appropriate tribute.
Islamabad airport name should be Maulana Abdus Sattar Edhi International airport

Edhi Sahib was non political. He was a pure humanitarian, who changed the lives of Pakistanis like no other. His contribution to Pakistan was phenomenal. His name should shine to show Pakistanis and the world what one man can achieve
