Petition to promote “EDHISM”
Abdul Sattar Edhi was a gift to our nation by the Allah (Subhana watalla). He dedicated decades of his life for the cause of humanity, his slogan was “Insaan bano, insaaniyat sikhao.”
His vision and teachings through his practical work are not less than a total philosophy of life. His work for humanity certainly demands that we should pay tribute to him and the best way would be to continue his mission by supporting Bilquis and Faisal Edhi and secondly by propagating his mission through keeping his name alive in our hearts and minds.
A petition is to be submitted to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan which would certainly help our coming generations to understand his ideology and mission of ‘Insaaniyat’.
The terms of the petition are:
- 8th of July should be declared as a National Edhi Day. Instead of declaring it as a public holiday, public and private sector organizations should propagate the message and mission of Abdul Sattar Edhi.
- A postage stamp should be dedicated to Mr. Edhi with his picture on it as has already been promised during his lifetime.
- The New Islamabad International Airport should be named as ‘Edhi Islamabad International Airport’.
- A main road/ park/ icon building/memorial to be named after him in the Federal and Provincial capital cities of Pakistan.

Yes pleeease. Edhi sb was a true hero of Pakistan. Need to keep his memory alive for our kids.

He was a legend man. Renaming the airport is the very least we can do for such a humble soul.
