John Aliberti was a staple in Bethpage. He could go into any store and be greeted and welcomed as a friend by almost everyone.

He was the unofficial mayor of Bethpage.

He passed at the age of 98 on Saturday the 19th of March, 2022.

He spend many hours at the park only an eighth of a mile from his home on 5th street.
