We are starting a petition to get Aqua Virginia to either remove itself from the City of Chesapeake or work with the City to provide a solution for improved services and reduced cost. Please sign our petition if any of the following apply:

1. You are dissatisfied with your Aqua Virginia water service.

2. You are dissatisfied with the cost and quality of your water.

3. You do not have the service, but want resolution so we can proceed with economic development opportunities currently being prevented by Aqua Virginia.

I have properties on both sides of the providers line. There is a large and distinct difference between the cost, service, and quality of the two providers. The city of Chesapeake provides a much higher quality water.

Aqua Virginia is preventing quality stores & services in our area. Norfolk Highland, Indian River Estates, & Sherry Park would benefit from new stores/restaurants in this area. We are going to spend our money. We would like to spend it in our area!

I am not in the Aqua Virginia water service area; however, their inability to provide adequate service to their customers is irresponsible. It has stopped economic development in the area and has left area residents without fire hydrants.

Aqua is turning the Indian River area of Chesapeake into a slum. Property values are decreasing because Aqua can't meet the water demands for an improved Indian River Shopping Center. Aqua must leave Chesapeake.

Having aqua is a pain, you pay 3 different companies just for water and if we loose power we loose water service which is absolutely ridiculous in 2015. Water is essential to life!

I am not satisfied with their service or response time to situations. I find it ridiculous that a water company will stop the rejuvenation of a shopping center when everyone is trying to rebuild and upgrade the community.
