The Garbage Collection service offered by the City of Hume to Craigieburn residence is not reliable and is often not collected. This is resulting in frustrated residents, garbage littered in the streets and unnecessary phone calls to the Hume Customer Service desk.
The residents signing this petition have had enough and are requesting the council address this continuing problem and look at ways at being able to competently provide the service needed.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many neighbors feel the exact same frustration I do. This momentum belongs entirely to the people of Craigieburn who spoke up about the situation in our streets.

Our garbage is missed regularly! So frustrating! I have only recently moved here, my bins were NEVER missed once in 3 years at my old suburb
Have had to call 5 times. Being a friday pickup then having to wait to call on the monday. I have 2 children in nappies not happy when it gets picked up the following tuesday wednesday!

Hate this thing happening so oftenly when you pay money to them on time.
Hume City Council need to seriously address how they manage water in this are...period. They make it unaffordable to take rubbish to the dump - which happens to be an environmentally unsustainable landfill. Then they scratch their heads wondering why there is so much illegal dumping. Add to that the fact that they won't take your bin if the lid is slightly open or your recycling bin if there is mixed waste in there ( which, ironically ends up as land fill anyway) HCC....get yourself in this century and provide sustainable recycling stations where it is free to leave your waste in an appropriate manner. This will generate income for you, provide jobs and be less costly to the ratepayers. Are you guys up for the task???
Atleast 1ce a month my street doesn't have ours collected. They are useless.

Great thought You'd think with council elections just finished, we can hope this to improve they charged on top of council rates for us to have the organic bin but they failed to collect it on a few occasions What a shame
