Final supporters
This petition is basically to see if our opinions about BMSC101 are being echoed within the cohort of students studying Biomedical Science at ACU. It is believed that this subject may not exactly be specifically helpful for our future aspirations derived from this course and were hoping that it could be replaced with something more relevant to our studies.
A few of us feel that this subject was particularly disorganised, with a lack of resources or if any, they were extremely vague, and that there was an inadequate amount of support from LIC and the tutorials were not that helpful. The content studied was somewhat pointless in some areas (Symbolism of PC, QC categorical sentences for example) and lacked a sufficient amount of resources to help the students fully understand what was required of them in some learning areas.
Please feel free to write any comments voicing your opinion, what could be changed and how you think the course would benefit from this and of course which campus you're from! If you are not comfortable sharing your name that's absolutely fine! It's the number of students who sign this petition that's important here.

Replace it with a unit focusing on practical report writing as we had to write two with next to no practice.
Pointless subject
The Tutorials were not engaging for students. It was practically another lecture.
Poorly structured class, content (if even available) was extremely difficult to find and even then was either full of irrelevant facts or, was vague and unhelpful.
Change the subject to one where the students are able to learn more (and in intense depth) about how to reference correctly and how to write abstracts and reports and the best ways to analyse actual reports by others.

Unorganised unit. Lectures were a load of information, with no clear focus. Trouble staying engaged with the lecturer, when 2 hours worth of non stop, chunks of unsenthysised information is being thrown around. Pc and Qc has been the most irrelevant material I have learnt so far - How will this be of benefit to a Biomedical student? If this is a philosophy subject, stick to philosophy. Most of us have never taken a philosophy subject, atleast give us the basics before slamming us with advanced content. It was great to learn history, but why the large emphasis? Time could have been better spent. Make reforms to this unit or get read of it. Thank you
