A whole community require and also depend on the release of the source code of the operating system on the Nokia N900 device. All future development for Maemo depend on this and as Nokia have now ceased ALL support for it it is only fair this is released to the Maemo.org Community so the developers on there can make true progress where Nokia have failed.

The N900 is still the best phone I ever owned. Nokia needs to do the right thing and let the community take over since they abandoned it years ago.
