GMS2 just announced today on 03.18.2020 that they will be sun-setting their services on May 27th. This comes as a shock to many dedicated players who wish to continue playing the game and enjoying the world of Maple. Many of us do not have the ability to play on alternative services such-as KMS2 or CMS2, etc. due to language barriers or other limiting factors. We request that if services are indeed to be shut down with no potential for extension, that the source code for these services be released to the public so that the community may still live on and prosper and enjoy the game together.

This game was probably one of the most enjoyable mmo's i ever played i loved the community and i want to see it as a private server for others to play on in the future. pls make this a reality!
On behalf of our entire guild, MS2 should release the source code as the game is what held our family/guild together. It breaks our hearts.
I quit KMS2 just to play GMS2 because it was free to play. I don't want my progress to be taken away from me a 2nd time.
Nexon, if you are reading this... I was so dedicated to MS2 that I studied extra hard for my exams so I could finish early and do raids with my guild and friends. All my efforts can be half-salvaged if the source code is released.
Make the source code public so players can enjoy the game. There are so many efficient changes that would work to make it a continuously fun game

I love MS2 and alot of my guild and friends where shocked that they are killing the game. I cant believe they cant come up with a solution to keep the game alive. Maybe Pay to Play or something like that. I was Inkymycat in the game
