Destiny 1 players paid for their game and deserve continued access. We ask Bungie to either release an official D1 Classic (with PC support) or allow community preservation projects (i.e. V4nguard) to continue without legal interference. Recent account deletions during maintenance show why this matters. Sunsetting paid games should not be normalized. Support game preservation. This in essence aligns with the core values that stopkillinggames represents. In short, we want Destiny 1 to be safely preserved whether It's through the community and/or Bungie's actions What matters most is having concrete guarantees that the game we have paid for will not be shut down nor hindered in any way. This includes either:
- A formal agreement involving V4nguard and/or stopkillinggames that ensures no legal interference or obstruction regarding continued access to the game, including the player's right to play it in any manner they choose;
and/or
- An officially archived, authentic, and preserved classic or remastered version of the game, ensuring its long-term availability and integrity.
Moreover: How far away are we from destiny 1 classic or a private server?

d1 is the best one tbh. just let us play the game we paid for.
I have over 4000 hours and 11 years in this game and I'm not gonna let Sony just erase it
Best game ever made and ive played every game
Game of my childhood, lack of signatures is heartbreaking
Make games accessible!
I have played destiny 1 since the beta and would love to be able to play this game with my kids in 2040, having a port or a fan based private server would be fantastic

I genuinely dislike Destiny 2, while Destiny 1, especially early on had caused me to like FPS. No other franchise has had me interested in it, and it's a shame I may never get to play it again in even a semblance of it's former self. Preservation is important, especially in video games as it's the highest form of art in my opinion and many others. Video Games have to be good at so many different types of art, and it's a shame we may lose one of the greatest pieces of art in recent memory.
