We, the residents of New Heritage Hills, identified as "part of Richardson Ridge south of Richardson Side Road" in the New Kanata North Elementary School Attendance Study published on Thursday, May 7, 2015, petition the school board to rescind the proposed boundary change affecting our community.

All proposals in the study unduly separate our neighbourhood from the surrounding community for redirection to the Roland Michener PS (RMPS) for the English program. Richardson Ridge, Heritage Hills, New Heritage Hills and Kanata Estates form a close-knit community. Many children in these neighbourhoods play together and attend the same schools. The proposed boundary splits them up without concern for geographical and communal factors. Of all the primary schools in the study, RMPS is the farthest from our neighbourhood. Of all the communities that make up the student demographics of RMPS, none are adjacent to nor closely associate with ours. It is absurd to segregate our children from the rest of their community.

We believe the existing school boundary for our neighbourhood should remain unchanged. Please keep our community intact and children together.

The momentum is undeniable now. This shows the board exactly how much our community rejects these proposed lines.

This is going to be extremely hard for the kids with special needs! We've worked together with the current school to setup and execute the IEP. It's unfair for us having to start it over again!

I strongly oppose this change. I moved into this neighbourhood so that my child could attend Stephen Leacock P.S. This zoning doesn't make any sense at all and is completely unfair. Please keep our community together!

The proposal really bothered my brother. He said that he would lose his all friends in our neighborhood in WEJ and can not make friends since we are not in waking distance from RMES. I strongly disagree with this proposal, it split our whole community and our kids.

Kids in EFI program in New Heritage Hills area are also affected, since kids from surrounding areas (RR/KE/HH) will continue attend Stephen Leacork Elementary school, but kids in NHH area will be redirected to the school to be built in Morgan's Grant area (corner of Terry Fox/Old Second Line)

If the school boundaries need to be adjusted, kids from same neighborhood should go to the same school so they can work on the group projects with walking distance. It helps the parents to help each other if any emergency happens. This will also reduce the cost for school bus service. This proposal is unfair and need to be changed.

It is an unfair treatment to us as we pay the same property tax rate as our neighbours in Kanata Estates, etc. do. How come their children can go to WEJ and ours not. We all live in the same area.

It doesn't make sense to leave some area alone in the same community
