As you all know, Rob was not renewed by the Liberty Union Board of Education as the varsity boys basketball coach. Rob has spent the last 12 years of his life dedicating his time and energy to coaching in every level of the boys program. If you feel like the School Board needs to reconsider their error in not renewing Coach Compton, please sign this petition!

I have requested a formal meeting with the school board president to discuss the non-renewal decision. We are currently compiling the documentation of the program's history under Coach Compton to present during that session.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of this petition and requested a formal meeting to discuss the renewal process. I have submitted our primary arguments to the Board of Education and will provide an update once they confirm the venue for our next discussion.

Rob Compton is one of the most encouraging coaches out there who's not just thinking about winning games, but thinking what he can do to make his players better. Having him as an AAU coach he has made an impact on me, he's reminded me on why I love the game. He truly cares about his players & their parents not just on the court but off the court as well. I would be speechless if he were not nominated coach of the boys basketball team.
this is Rob Comptons niece I have seen my Uncle dedicate his life to these boy, the boys aren't just players he coaches but young boys he helps lead into the right direction to be a young and intelligent young man! My Uncle Rob loves the game of basketball and these boys he deserves this position more than anyone ! Please resign him as being the LU boys basketball coach
To be honest, I don't know Rob that well personally, but have seen the results on the court the last couple of years and was looking forward to seeing how he moves the LU program forward in the future. Seems like a questionable move by the school board that wasn't based solely on his coaching abilities or results.
Rob is one of the best coaches I have ever been around in my 40 years around basketball. This will be LU'S loss in the long run, not his. Good luck, Rob.
I've seen Rob first hand as a coach from being a cheerleader at Liberty Union. And I have to say I've seen a huge improvement in the boys performance on the court. He's great with the kids and deserve a spot coaching more than anyone!

Program building starts with stability. 6 coaches in 12 years is not only wrong but a community embarrassment.
