The lack of response from the Department of Transport is telling but it only confirms that we have to keep pushing. I am currently spending my evenings gathering more documentation on the safety hazards of these walking routes to force them to look at the reality on the ground.

The days have been long and the bureaucratic silence is draining. We are within reach of one hundred signatures and need that extra momentum to prove this issue cannot be ignored.

it is a nonsense that these have been cancelled. distances are measured as the crow flies not in real terms of where children walk. it is too far with such heavy bags and too dangerous crossing Narellan Rd. does this need to end in tragedy with a student being killed before this is changed back again?
My children do not attend this school but I am very aware of the traffic and road system in the area and cannot comprehend the governments decision to recind bus passes for any student to MCHS
Narellan Road is 80km/h zone and dangerous with heavy vehicles and traffic in peak hours. Many children will cut through the Caltex petrol station, which will be extremely unsafe for everyone.
As a past Magdalene student I know how busy the roads are when you are required to walk home. Still in year 12 only last year we needed to hand in a note signed by our parents allowing us to walk home after exams due to the dangers of walking home which spout school was fully aware of
The safety of all students is paramount. A heavy use industrial area is not suitable or safe for students from the age of 11 years to be walking through. You have a duty of care to guarantee the safety of students. Please reinstate bus passes for all students at Magdalene Catholic High ?School.
Catching a bus was the only way to get home, buspasses should be free to all students.
what about there 20kg bags!!

My 12yo son has to walk passed 2 driveways that belong to a service station on Narellan road,to get to a non cement 'footpath' where the length of the grass has been at knee length & then cross the busy school road with no marked crossing.
