They need to realize that they are just citizens and normal people like us and also that their main job is to protect and serve us... not themselves... Bill Spece is a disgrace to all law enforcement and needs to take a flying leap. People need to start standing up for their Constitutional rights and quit giving the police so much power. An

He will track you down in a public and start harassing you because you made a statement on Facebook about the police department. He shouldn't even be acting chief bc he has no requirements for anything and hasn't even been a cop for 2 years. Also what right does he have to take police vehicles home when he lives way out in the middle of no where. Then gets one of his buddies hired who has no experience of being a police officer. There goes another 30,000 of Eldora's money to get someone certified and they will leave too.

He doesn't follow the law himself. He thinks he owns everyone and can just judge people when not knowing the whole story he also likes to plant evidence on people.

The amount of arrogance of some in police departments everywhere and the over-controlling nature of "some" in police and city government are SERIOUSLY adding to the downfall of this sad but potential-filled community! It is nothing like it is supposed to be and these mentalities are being normalized more and more EVERY DAY THAT WE PUT UP WITH IT! Anyone of you can change but what I do know is that Leply is a very down to earth and respectful individual who is exactly what we need to place in our strategy to improve, opposed to continually running around in circles chasing our tail and being taxed to the hilt and miserable in our own home (city) fearing that we're not allowed to live like we want to. People outside of here avoid Eldora because every so often there are new police officers on a power kick that think it's okay to act this way when all they are doing is further ruining the name "Eldora" and driving people away from businesses who pay the salaries of these very people who are driving them away. Hmmm! Fix yourself and sleep even better...you know who you are and those on the force and council who agree and are trying to do the right thing, great job!!! Hats off for stepping up. Everyone should remember that you are one of us whether you think so or not and you are also paid by us! Don't overstep your boundaries and we can all be much happier in our "home". Spend your energy trying to get better instead of trying to figure out how you should "react" to this response and keep your pride.

Eldora would be a lot worse off with someone like Lepley as chief. At least Spece doesn't take bribes and gifts in exchange for using his position to help his friends.
