This petition is long overdue and needs to be pushed through to force the city of Eldora to do something with our failing police department. There is a constant turnover of officers, lack of enforcement, harassment, misuse of city property, and failure in leadership. Our current acting Chief has made this city and it's citizens come to distrust the police with his abuse of power, horrible attitude, and limited knowledge of Iowa laws and codes. A reform is needed to have a police department that protects it's citizens rather than pushes them away. We may also need to reform our city council. Please sign this petition to help bring the change Eldora needs. This will be presented to city council, Iowa Department of Public Safety, and other executives in our state government to ensure proper oversight of the police failure in Eldora.
