Because of Hurricane Matthew and the evacuation that followed for the city of Savannah, SCAD has decided to cease classes from Wednesday October 5, 2016 through Sunday October 16, 2016. They have compensated for this by assigning makeup days after the end of the original scheduled end date for the Fall 2016 term until December 1st.

Students of SCAD, Savannah do not find this decision fair, nor acceptable. A large group of students have travel plans, have purchased their tickets, have preexisting commitments (such as jobs, family plans, etc) and this change to the original schedule will interfere.

We, the undersigned, SCAD Savannah students, call on the SCAD administration to review their decision to extend classes and urge them to find another "Fair" solution for its students.
