After the Hatherley turning the speed on the A38 increases from 40MPH, to 50MPH. Yet set within a mile of this speed change is the village of Norton, including the village primary school, playgroup, local pub and many houses lining the road. Many of the young children walk alongside this busy road to the school, and have to cross the A38 - and it's 50MPH speed limit to get there. It is usually a case of running across the road between the traffic. Many children also live along the road - and it is just too dangerous for the speed limit to be this fast. This petition asks for the 40MPH speed limit to be continued from Gloucester to the end of Norton.
