We live on the Plaistow Road close to a bend and find exiting our drive a very dangerous process due to the speed of oncoming traffic. Reducing the speed limit is vital if accidents are to be avoided.

It is eesential in my view to reduce the current 40mph speed limit on Plaistow Road as walking along this stretch of road is currently extremely hazardous

I thoroughly agree with the reduction of these speed limit reductions. A knock on effect may be that drivers may have more respect for the, albeit advisory speed limit of 20mph, on The Drive, Chalk Road and The Ride. Perhaps we should have a name and shame scheme to help enforce locals adhere!!

I am convinced some drivers cannot read speed limits!!

With many verges being incorporated into gardens there is often nowhere for walkers to safely get off the road so any reduction in speed must be a good thing.

The speed many cars drive through Plaistow and Ifold is dangerous and anything that can be done to slow traffic is essential.

I fully support the reduction in speed limit. Its horrendous for the school children on this road without any pavement!

id like to see speed controls inside the current 30mph limits too. Drivers gunning their engines to get as fast as they can from one bend to the next

In Ifold, children have to cross the road to get on the school bus, this is very dangerous at 40 mph plus. Also there are poor sight lines at the Chalk Road bus stop.

As per my husbands comments, Keith Lawrence, this is a small village with no pavements and it is not safe for my 88 year old mother to walk to Ifold stores along the road with 10 ton lorries going at 40 mph

We lost a cat first year we lived in Ifold due to speed of a car, everytime I come out of my drive I look left and right to make sure it is clear, I pull out only to have a car or van up my backside in seconds, they are going too fast. The Lorries from the Farm fuel go too fast and scare my dogs when we are walking along the plaistow road, also there is no pavements along Plaistow Road hence need for reduce speed.

I live on the Plaistow Road and fully support the reduction in speed limits. Any measures to reduce the accident potential of these hotspots must be endorsed.

This is a popular cycling area, and any measure to control motor traffic speed and behaviour would be welcome.

Residential in Australia are down to 30 mph . England motorways are 70 mph which is 10 mph quicker. Yeah I would be happy with that.
