What’s Your Why?
Is St. Louis Ready? Are You Ready?
Let’s Make a Recovery High School Happen by Fall 2026!
The Missouri State Board of Education will decide on December 9 whether to approve a Recovery High School in St. Louis — and we need your help to show them that our city is ready.
Here’s the truth: every hour, every voice, every dollar — the time, talent, and treasure of St. Louisans — have already made this vision possible. Together, we’ve built something powerful:
- A Robust Launch Team: Young people, families, and professionals united behind the future of youth recovery in St. Louis.
- State Support: Two major laws passed and $100 million approved to launch four Recovery High Schools statewide.
- Community Partnerships: Schools, treatment centers, behavioral-health providers, juvenile justice, youth-serving agencies, and city officials all at the table.
- Youth Leadership: A Youth Advisory Board ensuring young people’s voices stay front and center.
- Public Engagement: Monthly meetings, community events, and the first-ever Youth SUD Summit bringing families and leaders together.
- Press & Media: Coverage in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, community papers, and on NBC and Fox News — with a growing social-media movement building awareness and hope.
Now we need your voice.

- Why do you believe St. Louis students in recovery deserve this school?
- Who or what inspires you to support it?
- What makes you ready to help make it happen by Fall 2026?
Because honestly… recovery is better with toasted ravioli!
My why is my Dad, whose addiction began at 12 years old and who died at 58 from his addiction. Recovery is hard. We can make it possible.
