We the member owners of Caney Valley Electric Cooperative Association Inc hereby do petition the board of directors to keep the rates the same as they have been and instead of raising rates to begin cutting costs and unnecessary spending in order to meet their financial obligations. Raising rates will only hasten the demise of our struggling communities and make recruiting new residents, businesses and industry increasingly difficult. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have compiled the formal documentation outlining our concerns regarding the proposed rate hikes for the board of directors. We are now finalizing the delivery logistics to ensure each board member receives a physical copy of these signatures prior to the next scheduled budget meeting.

The scale of this response confirms the board must address cost-cutting measures during the upcoming budget review. I have formally requested a meeting with the directors to present these concerns as a collective priority.

I realize this is not a kWh rate increase but we are already paying double what neighboring communities pay so I don't want to pay a base increase of even $1.
We are already higher then the area standards and higher then country averages to raise them More in the poorest county in Kansas is not smart.
Poor management on your part does not constitute a emergency meter increases on the members
Our rates are already to high. Raising them will just cause more troubling times for most everyone. Keeping the bare necessities is hard enough in this community.
This community already lives pay check to paycheck. No one will want to move here or stay here with bills so high.
Electric is already too high
Raising the rates would just give people more reasons to leave. Soon this town will be a ghost town if things keep going how they are.

It's already bad enough. If I didn't have to work I'd be there tonight to fight this thing. I'm already working two jobs to make ends meat I don't want a 3rd one where I do t see my kids at all.
