As you may have heard, SportsQuest is a developing Olympic training center coming to Richmond. It will be developed on 250 acres along Route 288. They have not yet decided how many racquetball courts they will have, but have asked for a list of interested persons to justify more courts. Our goal is to motivate them to install at least five courts. Please enter your information on this petition, showing your support for racquetball in Virginia. Your information will not be used in other other manner.

You signature does not commit you to a membership, but does show your interest and willingness to consider a membership at SportsQuest for more racquetball courts.  Courts are not expected to be built until early 2011, but they are beginning to accept members.

We plan to submit this list at the end of March 2010.  If you are considering a family membership, please list the name of individual family members.  Please forward this website address to your friends and family in the surrounding Richmond area and ask them to sign the petition.  There is strength in numbers and SportQuest has asked for a list of interested persons.  In all fairness to SportsQuest, please do not sign this petition if you live outside of the area and do no plan on becoming a member, even if additional courts are constructed.

If you want more information about SportsQuest, please go to javascript:nicTemp();

Founding member rates were schedule through the end of February, but they have agreed to extend the special rates through March 2010 to help generate more interest.  If you decide to enter a membership, please make sure that racquetball courts are stipulated in your contract and mention that you heard about SportsQuest from the CVRA and Roddy Hogg.  We have already had meetings with them to negotiate this extended deadline.

Thank you for your support.  Feel free to email me with your questions or comments.  If you are interested in a membership, please contact Phil Yun of SportsQuest.

Updates

February 17, 2010

The momentum behind this push is undeniable and it proves SportsQuest cannot ignore the demand for these courts any longer. They asked for proof that we want to play and our growing list is getting impossible for them to dismiss.

Living in Richmond and finding a good court is impossible these days. Really hope they pull through with this.
