Hello Missoula Neighbor, On August 25, 2009 I will be meeting with a group of Rattlesnake citizens to participate in the Rattlesnake Transportation Infrastructure Summit. While preparing for this summit, the excerpts that I have read thus far relating to the Rattlesnake Valley Comprehensive Plan (including the Transportation Goals and Guiding Principles) do not mention the equestrian use of our trails and open space. As a horse owner and rider, I would like to see that accessibility for equestrians be included in the language of the Plan, as it is currently for pedestrians and bicyclists. In order to show support for adding such language into these documents and into the public consciousness as it relates to the RVC Plan I would like to compile a list of citizens who support this addition through this petition; they may own horses or simply support equestrian activities in the Rattlesnake (not limited to the wilderness area past the horse trailhead.) We may be a minority but need to guarantee the historic equestrian access that we have enjoyed thus far. I would also appreciate it if you would forward this information to any interested citizens that use the Rattlesnake corridors for equestrian use. Thank you in advance, Caroline Lonski

Ridiculous that this even has to be discussed. Horses belong in the Rattlesnake just as much as bikes do. Leave our access alone!

Rattlesnake trails have been used for horses for decades. Keep it that way. Dont leave us out of the plan just because were the minority.
