The
musical opportunities available to Ramapo students are plentiful, but there is
one group missing from the mix; a concert band. There are students at Ramapo
that have musical abilities and no outlet to use these talents. A concert band
would not only benefit the students, but beneficial to the college as well by
building up the college’s name and by being a draw to potential students.
The conversation regarding the addition of a concert band has expanded beyond my initial expectations. I have spent the recent days discussing potential rehearsal spaces and logistical requirements with several interested departments. Your commitment to this project provides the necessary weight for these administrative discussions.

The level of engagement regarding the proposed concert band has grown significantly. This momentum proves that a substantial portion of the student body values the addition of a formal wind ensemble to our campus music program.
