Due to the rising traffic and construction in Nashville, Charlotte Park (like many neighborhoods) have been experiencing an overwhelming amount of vehicles speeding and running Stop signs in the area - specifically on the main road through Charlotte Park, Annex Avenue. The stretch of road along Annex goes largely unmonitored or policed despite many applications for traffic-calming. The Charlotte Park Elementary where many children and residents of the area school walk along the narrow sidewalks is especially dangerous.
The people of Charlotte Park and surrounding areas want permanent results, not temporary calming. By putting in speeds bumps in front of the school, and other areas along Annex Avenue, it will greatly reduce the risk of speeding, noise complaints, and possible accidents.
By signing this petition, we would like the legislators of our district to install permanent speed bumps along Annex Avenue. The neighborhood of Charlotte Park thank you for your consideration and your signatures.

I live off of American rd and the lack of respect people have for driving 50 mph down that road. I’d like to see charlotte park become a neighborhood again where kids can play safely. Also walking dogs down the road is a death sentence most days and not have to worry about getting ran over.
I used to walk along the sidewalk on Annex Avenue, but after witnessing people running stop signs I no longer feel safe
We need thoughtfully planned infrastructure to slow down traffic on Wilclay Drive.

I completely agree folks drive too fast down Charlotte Park neighborhood streets (especially Croley), disregarding speed limit signs. It's dangerous!
It can be very scary how fast people drive down our road (Croley).
Need speed bumps along Thunderbird Drive as well.

Spoke w/council woman 4 mo. Ago about the ignoring of stop sign at Annex & Capri. Said she would take care of it. Still no police activity.
