Dear Quarton Parents: You may or may not be aware that Quarton has a severe epidemic of lice this year. Most, if not all classrooms are affected. The administration at the school have taken steps to attempt to control the problem including cleaning the classrooms and informing parents of the problem. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH. YOUR CHILD WILL CONTINUE TO BE AT RISK OF CONTRACTING LICE IF WE DO NOT RID THE SCHOOL OF THIS PROBLEM. The ONLY effective way to do this is to do head checks on ALL the students in the school, find the children who are affected, and clear them of their infection. The school will not agree to this as they say that this is an issue of privacy. We, as parents, feel that it is A PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE and must stand up and demand that this problem gets under control.
