As we sit here and watch the political circus in Washington, as we see kids getting murdered in school, it’s time we take action to secure our schools. It’s clear to us, we have to do this ourselves. As a Marine veteran, I have discussed this strategy amongst my fellow veterans. We have all agreed to volunteer our services to secure our schools and protect the children. Many of us have combat experience, which proves that we can react successfully in a chaotic event. The clowns in Florida’s legislator, and Washington, can’t seem to secure our schools. Well, it’s simple, we have 1.5 million veterans living in Florida, which, many have volunteered to patrol our schools. This solution has been ignored by all politicians here in Florida and in Washington. The time is now, we need to allow our nations heroes to secure our schools! Please sign this petition to support the safety and security of our children by utilizing our nations veterans!

I woke up and realized people actually care about this as much as I do which is honestly a relief because sometimes it feels like shouting into a void. It is wild to see this much movement when the people in charge refuse to listen but we are proving that real action comes from the ground up anyway.

I know plenty more veteran's than just I that are willing to patrol in any capacity. Thank you for the opportunity to sign this by bringing it forth!
My son is in high school and I worry everyday. The police response time is never fast enough. These guys are trained pros and they should be posted at every door.

Although I respect, thank, and honor every veteran out there I do believe there should be a screening process that will “weed” out any person that wouldn’t be able to handle the day to day stress that’s in our schools today. But I do believe there are 1000’s and 1000’s who would do an awesome job. Thanks for creating this petition!
