Final supporters
We, the undersigned, are potential students, current students, alumni, and friends of Purdue University and the Purdue Rifle and Pistol Club. In unity, we petition the leadership of Purdue University to allow use of the Armory by the Rifle and Pistol Club and its teams in their designated times. We also urge the University to assist in finding a permanent solution for the Club and teams as well as the ROTC shooting programs and the high school programs that compete in the Armory annually.
The successful Purdue Rifle and Pistol Club has a rich history of teaching safety and marksmanship to the general University population as early as 1897. Through a permanent solution, we hope to see the program continue for another 120 years and beyond.
We expect and respectfully request most signatories to come from the Club's Facebook page. The issue is fully outlined there. Thank you all for your support.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have stood up for this club. If you could send the link to just a few friends who care about our history we might actually hit the hundred mark today.

We come every year for the State IHSAA finals even though our daughter, 4 year title team, is long past her career. This sport changed her life, her mind set, her ability to control her body and be calm to shoot. Keep this positive for youth to continue the standard of excellence. Boiler strong.
As a long-time competitor and coach in Indiana, it's critical to the junior shooting sports to keep clubs like this active so our youth can continue to learn how to safely compete. Indiana has a strong heritage in shooting sports and has produced many top athletes.
Removing an organization like this from campus in the interest of safety would be as foolish as abolishing driver education programs on the basis that cars are dangerous. If you want a safer environment, you should allow organizations that teach proper gun safety to operate freely.
The shooting sports teach more than just shooting. The teach discipline, team work, dedication, and perseverance, among many other life skills needed to be a successful person. Please make the required accommodations to permit the Purdue Rifle and Pistol Club to continue its fine work.
The PRPC is a storied club and competitive team that has represented Purdue with the utmost professionalism and adherance to safety for many years. Purdue would be remiss to not support them in continuing their tradition of education, learning, and sport in the student and shooting community.
It is a crime that shooting is not a varsity sport at Purdue.

I hope that Purdue administration understands the importance of this club to the students and alumni. My decisions to give to the University depend on the University’s decisions to support what I believe to be important. Class of 1995.
