Purdue Club requesting continued use of Armory

It is a crime that shooting is not a varsity sport at Purdue.

Support our constitutional rights!

It is shameful that Purdue would seek to end the club and not offer a solution to the issue.

Let the girls shoot!

Since they took down the shooting club banner this obviously smells like a pile of politics

Competitive shooting sports are important. The mental toughness that is developed is a skill that serves the athletes well in all aspects of their lives.

It would be a shame for this long standing activity to be shut down. Please give them a place to resume. I am sincerely hoping this move is not politically motivated. If it is that is wrong on every level.

Let them compete

Why have they been removed while other students continue to use the facility? Let them return so they can continue to represent Purdue!

BSIM 1979, no more money for Purdue!

Caving in to the media and leftest interests will achieve nothing !!!! The shooting teams at Purdue are vital and will greatly take away opportunities for Purdue students.

Terminating this program is contrary to the end result. Knowledge is king. I would think that an institution like Purdue would recognize this. Please find the means to continue the program. Don't cower to bad politics.

Grassroots shooting programs are vital for the development of future Olympians. Purdue is known nationally for its shooting programs. As a former US Team Shooter and former US Army Marksmanship Team shooter I ask the Board to reconsider giving full support to the Purdue Shooting Team and its need for facilities.

Supporting students who compete at a national level in no way contributes to the media image of a gun culture. Safety, competition, and hard work are the elements that come into play here and in many other universities across this country. .

As an alum this saddens me, Purdue is an institution of higher education. Students are the first priority, without which, an institution of higher education does not exist. It is necessary to be truthful about about the administration's intentions in this situation. If Purdue no longer wants to have this going on, on central campus; they need to work with the group to find an location that makes the university and the club happy.

Responsible firearms training, and healthy participation in shooting sports is one of the best possible ways to deglamorize gun violence. Children that grow up seeing guns as tools, do not grow up to see them as weapons. Children that do not see guns as weapons do not use them to commit acts of violence. Why would you place barriers to this kind of healthy Behavior?

Young shooters are needed and a good facility is important.

Shooting sports are a level playing field for both men and women.

Do the right thing. Help everyone in their individual interests. Not just those that fit today’s social peg.
