The school has officially agreed to host the consent assembly. This outcome belongs entirely to the hundreds of you who refused to be ignored throughout this process. I am honestly stunned by what we managed to accomplish together and look forward to seeing the program take shape.

The goal of this petition is to get at least 100 signatures from students, community members, and faculty members. The PTHS Fem club is trying to instate an assembly on consent, what it looks like, and what it means. We want our youth to be comfortable in not only sexual relationships, but day to day respect and boundaries. We are a fact based group utilizing community organizations to educate and protect. We will not back down! Get PTHS to say YES to a mandatory "consent talk"!

I really never expected to see this much energy behind the idea of a consent assembly. It feels surreal to watch this grow when I was just looking for a few people to listen, and all the credit for that momentum belongs to you.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have put their names behind this effort. We are nearing our goal and I would be incredibly grateful if you helped get us over the finish line so the administration sees how many of us care about this.

instead of acting like students aren’t having sex and preaching abstinence, teach them how to do it safely.
I believe that everyone, especially our youth, need informed on how to respect each other’s boundaries.
This is such an important concept that NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT and don’t say there isn’t SA at our school no ones going to shout it from the roof top because they r scared to come forward because of the people who say we don’t need this
I know student after student that has experienced conflict regarding consent throughout high school. So many people, both men and women, are unaware of what qualifies as consent and how to set and respect boundaries.
After graduating highschool, its extremely upsetting and disgusting finding out that my own peers are either victims or abusers themselves. Peters needs to do so much better in so many areas and specifically this one.

I am a survivor of S.A. It is not a joke. Keep raising awareness. Parents: TALK TO YOUR KIDS about consent! It all begins with you. They listen to you.
