Here is a petition to start the Feminist Literature & Poetry Club here at Martin County High School. As students of MCHS, we believe that our club will provide a unique space to explore voices and perspectives, especially those that have been historically marginalized. This club will encourage meaningful conversations about gender identity, equality and social justice particularly through the lens of literature and poetry, and foster students’ critical thinking and empathy. By signing this petition, you support a space that allows students to participate in important social issues, learn from each other, and create inclusive and understanding school communities. This club will provide all students with a safe space to explore their identities and ideas, while promoting awareness and understanding of feminist principles.
