Hello there!
This is a petition for the Jurists class to collect signatures from those who are of the opinion that our October 2020 examinations should continue as previously planned.
These signatures will be used as proof before the relevant administrators (in form of a letter enclosed in an email) to demonstrate our wish to return to the timetable and format of exams previously provided.

While I understand the position of the school in doing this, I do not understand why you would need us in school for 6 days, only to have us back to online classes for another semester. My concern is for my health, as neither of my parents will be able to get 6 days off from work to deliver and/or pick me up, and I cannot find someone to house me in or near madaraka for 6 days only, I will have to use public transport. I live in thika, that means i am using exactly 6 matatus each day to and from campus. For 6 days that is 36 different matatus in 2 weeks. I really do not see the necessity of all that for just six days of physical attendance while I can just sit for my exam safely at home
Exams should be open book!

We need not be expected to put our health as well as our schooling careers on the line because strathmore decided last minute that we should go back to school for exams.
Online classes should be done with online exams and vice versa. Please listen to the students
We should've been consulted, at the very least, before making such a drastic decision

The binary position adopted by the school is far too limiting. This is a decision that appears devoid of any student input yet it affects not just this semester but by extension our academic life. I appreciate and understand the position the school is in but if more can be done to address the most pressing concerns of students, we should not hesitate to do so.
