Hello there!

This is a petition for the Judges class to collect signatures from those who are of the opinion that our October 2020 examinations should continue as previously planned.

These signatures will be used as proof before the relevant administrators (in form of a letter enclosed in an email) to demonstrate our wish to return to the timetable and format of exams previously provided.

Thank you so much for your help!

Updates

October 14, 2020

The momentum is undeniable. This backing shows administrators exactly how we feel about the exam schedule.

We recognise that these are confusing times and you are doing the best you can but the original plan was fine as it was. This new plan is uncalled for and in poor taste. It has more cons than pros and doesn't serve to benefit anyone in the long run. You had a plan we were all fine with, therefore, you should stick to it.

I am grateful for the hard work that the administration has put into catering for the global pandemic situation but I think we(students) should do open book exams for all units because we are all new to it and we all have other external factors like housework at home, anxiety issues etc that have also been hard to deal with. Thank you.

Honestly, there has been no consideration whatsoever for both our physical health and mental health. Furthermore, to move us from the challenging situation that was online classes to physical closed book exams, will do more harm to our grades and even our health, and it will also bring about a bad reputation to the school. It is not only unfair but also distasteful to implement decisions without the students' or the parents' input. The consent form also says that either you do the exams or have a retake, without consideration of the various factors that involve the partaking of these exams. So please consider us as you make your decision. Thank you.

It's important for the students views to have been collected especially in regards to how late the email was sent (just a few days before the exam was set to begin). It is my hope that we will do our exams in a conducive manner for the benefit and ease of all.

It is not so considerate to have us move from county to county only to return home for online classes. It would cause inconvenience.

Online classes were very challenging for most of us so in my opinion online open book exams would be a better way to reciprocate.

Test, as you taught.

Whatever meeting was held to make this decision should have included the students.
